Joint Session- FPN Florida Education Funders & Florida Health Funders

Join us for the joint Florida Education Funders and Florida Health Funders meeting to explore the topic of chronic student absenteeism, which has risen dramatically in the post-COVID years. Anecdotally this has been attributed to misunderstanding of health guidance by parents, skewed perceptions of the damage mission school has on learning, or a lack of urgency by the education community. We will hear from experts about 3 districts taking unique approaches to understanding and addressing this issue through their education foundations. As part of the learning, we will dive into landscape analysis results on root causes, understand interventions being explored, and messaging to highlight and address the issue.
