FPN is committed to convening and educating funders around public policy and advocacy, specifically so our member foundations better understand how the system works at both a federal and a Florida statewide level.

We invite our members to participate in a training to learn the methods around advancing policy and advocacy, state laws, and ballot measures for tax-exempt organizations both from the federal and statewide perspective.

The training, Florida Funders - Technical Assistance and Support, will convene funders across the sate to learn from experts how to go beyond fundamental advocacy efforts. The objective is to provide federal and Florida-specific public policy and advocacy technical assistance relevant to Florida foundations' efforts in this space.

Session supported through Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funding.

  • The training will be led by attorneys and experts in the field specific to Florida and Federal regulations.
  • Participants will utilize a groundbreaking new policy tool which will help them examine their policy work and how they can advance their efforts.
  • Attendees will have the opportunity for Q&A with the experts and networking/discussion with other attendees to find areas for collaboration and best-practice sharing.
