FPN is pleased to announce a new round of civic engagement funding through our continued work with Florida Counts. The purpose of this grant opportunity is to provide funding to support partners' participation in an ongoing learning community focusing on the 2030 Census, American Community Survey, and civic engagement in  Florida. Selected partners will receive mini-grants ranging between $5,000 - $10,000. To be eligible, applicants must be a 501(c)(3) organization and meet the following requirements: 

  • Involved and interested in the 2030 Census, American Community Survey, and civic engagement in Florida.
  • Participate in a learning community over the course of 2025. This will include approximately 3 virtual meetings [including one mandatory session on April 1, 2025] and one in-person meeting [tentatively scheduled for Fall 2025] 
  • Be willing to provide details on their work on the Census and civic engagement, details about their own capacity, and identify gaps in this work in their communities and statewide. 
  • Focus on Hard-to-Count communities, broadly defined as populations that have historically been undercounted in the Census which includes communities of color, young children, recent immigrants, renters, and low-income households, among others. 
  • Agree to utilize funding for activities including, but not limited to: 
    • Public education, outreach, and information activities. 
    • Targeted media, outreach, and communications. 
    • Partnerships with community and nonprofit organizations, faith institutions, small businesses, and local governments to conduct public education and outreach. 
Attendees will gain additional knowledge about the grant opportunity and find out how to apply.
