How Nonprofits, Government, and Funders Work Together Before Disaster Strikes

Disasters of any kind have the potential to affect communities in Florida. The most effective disaster response comes from being prepared, and the best preparations involve many stakeholders in a community. These stakeholders include nonprofits, funders, local government, volunteer organizations, and more.

This half day workshop, presented by Florida Nonprofit Alliance and Florida Philanthropic Network, is designed to provide examples of how communities around the state have responded to disasters, both natural and man-made, and the lessons they learned about how to prepare going forward. Join us to hear from a panel of your peers, then meet with others from your region to discuss how you can best prepare for future disasters. You'll leave with ideas to strengthen your community and feel prepared to implement them.
