A Data-Driven Approach to Practicing Effective Philanthropy
While individual donors give to causes they care about as a matter of the heart, many Florida grantmaking foundations give specifically to make a measurable, meaningful difference in communities we serve. While we may feel a sense of satisfaction in our work, institutional grantmakers must meet a higher standard by delivering measurable results through our efforts.

In this session, veteran community foundation CEO, Jeffrey R. Pickering, offers a comprehensive overview and detailed examples of how grantmaking foundations of all sizes can practice more effective philanthropy through a structured process that uses data, information, indicators of community needs and progress, insights, and analysis to get better, sustained results.
