Amy McClellan VP at the Florida Mental Health Advocacy Coalition, who will speak about the 988 number rollout here in Florida. Scott Darius, Executive Director, Florida Voices for Health, will speak about a new initiative in Florida called For Florida’s Health, which will inform attendees about practical elements for their work and ways to explore opportunities for greater engagement in the policy work happening at the state level. Scott Darius is the executive director at Florida Voices. With the help of an amazing team, he works on everything from strategic planning to working directly with statewide coalition partners on different campaigns and initiatives. During law school he was fortunate enough to intern for Florida CHAIN, a health advocacy organization. Due to the importance of the work around Medicaid and health care, he continued working on these issues at Florida Voices. Amy McClellan is Vice President of the Florida Mental Health Advocacy Coalition, a non-profit, non-partisan coalition of organizations that advocate for policy changes to improve the lives of those who live with a mental illness and/or substance use disorder in Florida. Amy is the co-leader of a local advocacy group, Advocates for Mental Health South Florida, which is dedicated to improving behavioral health services in Miami-Dade & Monroe Counties. Amy is also a founder and President of the Board of The Key Clubhouse of South Florida, a nonprofit organization located in Miami that has provided free recovery, rehabilitation and employment services for adults living with serious mental illnesses since 2010. Amy was named Outstanding Board Leader in 2019 by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. For more than 40 years, Amy has worked professionally in the nonprofit sector in fund raising, program development, grant writing and public relations in Florida, California and New York. Amy received a B.A. from Occidental College, Los Angeles, and an M.F.A. in Art History from Princeton University.
