Receives National Certification of Philanthropy Excellence
Pinellas Community Foundation
in Clearwater has been confirmed to be in compliance with the
National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations, a rigorous
certification process established by the Council on Foundations in
Washington, D.C. National Standards certification is granted
only to community foundations that are deemed to meet each of the 44
standards of operating excellence, which certify that a community
foundation has a single-minded devotion to effective philanthropy.
Pinellas Community Foundation is one of 27 community foundations in
Florida that have been certified to be in compliance with the
National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations or have committed
to going through the certification process in the near future.
Founded in 1969, the Pinellas Community Foundation receives its
funds from local area citizens, businesses and organizations that
are committed to making the Pinellas County community a better place
to live.
